The 3rd Arm Camera Support Unit contains the 3rd Arm's patent pending universal adjustable bracket that ratchets to the tree with a 2" non-stretch polyester strap. The 3rd Arm's universal bracket has a fitting to receive the pivoting camera arm made with 1" steel tubing. This unit provides a rock steady camera support for videoing with smaller to mid-range cameras (10lbs or less). Camera Head not included. When purchasing the 3rd Arm or the 3rd Arm Extreme, we strongly recommend you purchase the 208 tension plate if using a Bogen camera head. The 208 tension plate will prevent your camera head from slipping when fastened to your camera arm and can be purchased directly from the 3rd Arm website. See details below!

The 3rd Arms patent pending universal bracket works with both the original 3rd Arm and the 3rd Arm Extreme Camera Arm. This larger arm will provide rock steady support for larger cameras (Not to exceed 22lbs). Camera head not included. When purchasing the 3rd Arm or the 3rd Arm Extreme, we strongly recommend you purchase the 208 tension plate if using a Bogen camera head. The universal, adjustable bracket ratchets to the tree with a 2" non-stretch polyester strap & heavy-duty buckle. The adjustable bracket allows for leveling of the camera arm for both the vertical & horizontal positions. These easy one-handed adjustments allow for completely level videoing 360
degrees around even the most crooked of trees. The adjustable support
bracket is universal as it will receive both the 1" & 1 ½" camera arms. Multiple brackets can be purchased while only having one camera arm, which allows for setting up the adjustable brackets on multiple tree stand sites prior to the season which allows for quieter stand entry that won't alert that big buck!

The patent pending 3rd Arm is equipped with a unique arm extension system that is not found on any other unit on the market. The arm connects to the adjustable support bracket and is made of 1"steel tubing that provides a rock steady extension for video cameras (10lbs or less). What makes this arm unique is the curved extension that the camera mounts too! This curved arm allows you to wrap the camera further around your body
and the tree for a true 360 degree videoing capability for when that buck comes in from behind the tree!

Extreme arm has all the same features of the regular 3rd Arm including the
pivoting, curved radius arm, but is built from 1 ½" steel tubing that allows for videoing with larger, professional grade cameras (22lbs or less).

The Bogen 438 Tilt Head is designed for quick leveling adjustments of your video camera with the simple flip of a lever. It offers the same leveling effects as popular 75mm bowl interfaces, with up to 15 degrees adjustment in all directions. The 438 Tilt Head fastens to the top extension of the 3rd Arm with the supplied 3/8” bolt which accepts various popular fluid video heads. | The 208 tension plate is designed specifically for connecting Bogen camera heads to the 3rd Arm and the 3rd Arm Extreme. The 208 tension plate prevents the camera head from slipping while connected to the camera arm. The 208 tension plate has three set screw that insures a slip free connection. Scott Extremes strongly recommends the 208 tension plate to be used on all 3rd Arms using a Bogen camera head! |

The 2" non-stretch, polyester ratchet strap system secures the adjustable bracket to the tree by wrapping around the tree and ratcheting down tight. The 2" strap is made from polyester that will not stretch like nylon straps that most camera support units are equipped with.
